Hi, I am Rick Michael. I was born in Gosport, Hampshire, but had to move around the country as my father was in the Navy. I have always been into music. As a boy I used to pretend I was a radio DJ in my room. From the age of 16 I started my own mobile disco roadshow. By the time I was 21, I started touring the UK and worked alongside some of the big groups of the 90s. I have also done entertainment on cruise ships. After that I became an entertainment manager for a few years. I have done hospital radio shows, as I have always wanted to host a radio show. Three years ago I came second in the Listeners' Choice Awards, where I hosted The Rhythm Nation Show on various radio stations.
